Progressreport [09.10.12]

Here, I'll write down any progress while modding:

[09.10.12] It works! Screen, not fully, but at least the display works now.
[21.09.12] Charselectionscreen kills my remaining nerves for the past few weeks....
[31.08.12] Credits and cinematics screen rebuilt.
[28.08.12] Got rid of parts of the map not being drawn at to high resolutions. Not fully tested, but seems to work (>10h of work...). Monsters, roofs, walls, lights, shadows,... are still missing.
[19.08.12] Trademarkscreen/MainMenu completely rebuilt. Documentation nearly finished.
[13.08.12] Textboxes, scrollbars, buttons, checkboxes and timers are implemented. Scrolbars do need custom code to work properly.
[12.08.12#2] The D2ModSystem is now obsolete, as the plugin(s) now get loaded by D2SE. Compatibility with D2Mod will be kept.
[12.08.12] Static images, animations (2 types) and fill-in-boxes work: screen. Textboxes, scrollbars, buttons, checkboxes and timers will be implemented soon.
[07.08.12] Started working on semi-softcoding the menus. A small screenshot. Got to built my own menus.
[early in 2012] Migrated to C, and therefore will start from the beginning


[26.09.11] Softcoded the position of the sockets
[15.06.11] Added the "chance to block, average chance to get hit" mouse hover
[22.05.11] Fixed the resolution for the videos
[21.05.11] Fixed a crash while unloading dc6s
[30.04.11] Charscreen finished (Displaying of stats/values/pictures, mouse hovers)
[early in 2011] The four resolutions got implemented

Not really big news, I recently got nearly no time for modding because of exams.
But after that, I should be able to fully finish the menu code and release a test version for finding/fixing bugs.

Modding isn't the thing that takes alot of time it's the process of thinking of what to do ^_^; You also have to add in learning and testing. If you knew everything about coding and moding it would only take you a week to make a mod, the learning curve for it is just way to large that many people get bug after bug mistake after mistake. Keep up the good work modmaker, I would love to play your mod!
