Access violation error
« on: May 12, 2016, 10:22:09 PM »
Hello!

I installed d2 and lod into fresh folder and then installed Snej mod there. However i keep getting this error and therefore cannot play the mod :/

Any ideas how to solve this?
In the past i used to play snej mod.

Im using w7 and my copy of d2 and lod are download versions from battlenet site.

cheers!

Hi!

I have saved the old installers to my computer so it instals the game to 1.12 not 1.14 so that should not be the problem?

You installed D2SE and put Snej in the Modfolder?
Do u have activate Plugy (i dont know if it works with Snej).

Do you tried restarting your computer while having D2SE installed for atleast 2-3 times?
C0000005 error is hard to figure out :/

Hmm,

So am i supposed to put Snej mod into the MODS folder or install it from the snej installer straight to my d2 folder (as it says in the instructions that come with it) with the D2SE that comes with the installer?

Im bit confused.

Im used to use D2SE and puting mods into the folder but the Snej mod that i get from this formus has its own installer that tells me to install it into d2 folder and comes along with d2se. However it gives me the error when i do as it tells me to and install the snej mod into the d2 folder.

Install Diablo 2 -> Install D2SE

Download Snej and install it in some clean Folder. Put the folder "Snej" with all files in (no subfolders between) into "Diablo II/Mods"
If u start D2SE u should see Snej there.

I did all this but its not showing in there. Just to make sure, its the "SNEJ60" folder that im supposed to put into the MODS folder?
Atleast that was the only Snej folder i got from the setup after installing it into clean folder before removing it into MODS.

Its not showing in the d2se i mean.

If Inside the snej folder is a d2se_setup.ini, a d2_patch.mpq and some more stuff its right.

I would show you how it looks with images, but since there is no option of attaching picture here i cannot do that.

After i install the snej to empty folder before placing it into MODs folder it puts some stuff outside the snej60 folder. Should i place everything in MODS folder  or jsut the Snej60 Folder?

Either way it does not work. i tried both ways. The Snej comes with its own D2SE, what am i to do with that?

Why the hell is this so hard. god.

D2Maniacs_Realm
readme
Snej_mod.mpq
SNEJ6005.dll
Standard_realm

THAT is what is in Snej60 Folder

D2SE (launcher)
D2SE (diferent kind of file)
glide3x.dll
glide-init
glide-liesmich
glide-readme
uninstall000.dat
unins000

THAT is what is outside of Snej60 folder after installation.

Hi,

I think you have installed the wrong Snej version, because of the missing D2SE_Setup.ini (current is 6006, you got 6005).

I tried it myself and you should use the original File from this Forum, the link can you find here http://snej.org/forum/index.php?topic=4.0

Put the Snej60 folder, which you will get when you extract the file from above, into the MODS folder. After that you should see Snej in the D2SE Modmanager.

Greetings
SPike.

Finally! I got it working! Thank you for all the help!

Just few questions more xD

1. How can i connect to games in the realm? I can get in but it seems that i cant make my own game.

2. For some weird reason when i launch game in full screen the resolution seems WAY off in the first screen (everything is super big and goes off the screen)
How to fix that?

1.) You sure you can join but doesn't create? Maybe restart your computer and try again.

2.) You have to change resolution ingame i think, to make it work. If that doesn't work, try to change it in glide (iam not so familiar with Snej tho)
